Information Corner
Founded in 1919, The Carnegie American Legion Post was one of the first American Legion posts founded in PA and in the country. D.Paulson Foster was our first Commander and played a pivotal role in its founding. He was a member of Company A, 305th Signal Battalion, 80th Division A.E.F. Born in Carnegie on May 29, 1887. Judge Foster was the youngest jurist officiating in any PA Court of Record. At age 46 he succumbed to Influenza and died on April 20, 1933.

In the spirit of Commander's Paulson's vision, our Post 82 supports area veterans and remains active in our community. Through our non-profit fundraising efforts we promote community goodwill by supporting our area veterans, first defenders, local libraries and other community service organizations.
